Our small flock of sheep is raised with care right here on TLC Farm. We focus on healthy, well-loved animals and raise Katahdin's and Dorper Crosses, known for their hardiness and flavorful meat. Lambs and select adults are available for sale seasonally—contact us for current availability or to learn more about our breeding program.
Katahdin Breed
Katahdins are a hardy, low-maintenance hair sheep breed known for their adaptability and excellent meat quality. Unlike wool sheep, they naturally shed their coats in spring—no shearing needed. Here’s what makes them a favorite on small farms like ours:
No Shearing
Their hair coat sheds naturally, saving time and labor.
Mild, Lean Meat
Katahdin meat is flavorful without the strong taste often found in other breeds.
